IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:

BEFORE USING

DANGER –
Any hair dryer is electrically
live even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of
death or injury by electric shock:
1. ALWAYS UNPLUG IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or
be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of
burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
1. This appliance should never be left unattended
when plugged in.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on, or near
children or by individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use attachments
not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped into water.
Return the appliance to a Conair service center
for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not
pull, twist, or wrap line cord around dryer, even
during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or
place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the
air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening
or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-
sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them
to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while it
is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out of it.
Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.
16. Be sure the dual voltage selector is in the correct
voltage position before operating. Before plugging
in the dryer, read the information about the dual
voltage contained in the instruction section of
this manual.
17. This appliance was set at the factory to operate
at 125 volts. Refer to the additional information
section of this manual for the conversion to
250 volt operation.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. Standard Dryers
are designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts A.C. or 220
to 250 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
FOR DUAL VOLTAGE DRYERS
For use in the U.S.A., the voltage selector switch
should be placed in the 125 position. For use in several
countries overseas, the voltage selector may need
to be placed in the 250 position. Confirm the voltage
available at each overseas location before using the
appliance. For connection to a 250 volt supply, use an
attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for
the power supply receptacle.
For 110-125 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the 125 position. In this
position, the dryer operates on all available heat and
speed settings.
For 220-250 Volt Operation
First put the speed switch to off and the heat switch to
Hot. Flick the dual-voltage switch to the 250 position.
At 220-250V while the speed switch is set at low and
the heat switch is set to hot, the dryer operates only at
high speed with high heat. Do not attempt to operate /
change the setting on the speed and heat switches or
change to 125 position when operating on 220-250V.
The switches must be set and remain in the Low (on
speed switch), hot (on heat switch) and 250 positions.
A plug adapter may be necessary in certain countries.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances may
trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp
fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
1. Pull cord out slowly from dryer. Stop pulling when
you see the red mark. Do not jerk cord.
2. Plug in dryer, then turn on heat/speed switch.
3. To retract cord, hold dryer vertically upright and
away from your face. Grasp the plug with one
hand, then press and hold the retract button
with the other. Guide the cord and keep it from
twisting. If the cord does not retract completely,
pull it out slightly and wind it again guiding it
into the reel. DO NOT RETRACT CORD WHILE
DRYER IS PLUGGED IN. DO NOT ALLOW SMALL
CHILDREN TO HANDLE THE RETRACTIVE
POWER CORD AS THIS MAY CAUSE THE CORD
TO “WHIP” AND CAUSE INJURY.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water. To make
sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the
following test. The purpose of this test is to allow
you to make sure the water sensing system (ALCI)
is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on
plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit
be brought to a service center. Do not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the unit
to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset button
pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction
in the unit. Remove plug from outlet and allow the
appliance to cool. Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally. If not,
return to an authorized Conair Service Center for
evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well
maintained. Always treat hair right with superior quality
shampoos, conditioners, and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your
choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry hair to remove
excess moisture. Using the dryer along with your
styling brush, start at a lower setting and direct
hot air through a section of hair at a time. Move
dryer steadily across each section so that the hot
air passes through hair. Direct air flow at hair not
scalp. Clouds of negatively charged ions will help
to reduce static electricity, control frizzy flyaways
and contribute to your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over drying, do not concentrate heat on
any one section for any extended length of time.
Keep dryer moving as you style.
4. For quick touch ups, between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before styling
with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and waves,
dry hair almost completely on a warmer tempera-
ture setting, then finish styling with Cool Shot
feature to close hair shaft and lock in style.
BODY & VOLUME
To create extra volume, turn
head upside down while drying.
Position the air flow toward the
roots for maximum lift. When
hair is dry, toss head back and
brush hair into place.
STRAIGHTENING
Work with hair in sections when
creating a super straight look.
Using a large round brush
(approximately 2" diameter),
hold hair taut in each section
and bend ends slightly under
as you dry.
MAKING WAVES
Tousled, natural- looking waves
are easily created by grasping
hair at the roots and scrunching
between fingertips while drying.

DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso profesional. Úselo
solamente con Corriente Alterna de 110/125V (60 hertzios) o
220/250V (50 hertzios).
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una clavija
polarizada (una pata es más ancha que otra). Como medida
de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en el
tomacorriente polarizado. Si no entrara en el tomacorriente,
inviértela. Si aún no entrara completamente, comuníquese
con un electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta función
de seguridad.
SECADORES DE DOBLE VOLTAJE
Ponga el selector de voltaje en la posición “125” para uso
en los Estados Unidos y en la posición “250” para uso
en países con suministro eléctrico de 220 a 250 voltios.
Averigüe el voltaje antes de enchufar el aparato. Puede que
sea necesario utilizar un adaptador de enchufe (no incluido)
para conectar el aparato a red de 250V.
Operación 110-125 voltios
Asegúrese que el aparato esté apagado. Ponga el selector
de voltaje en la posición “125”. El aparato funcionará con

GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA EL

PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE
SEGURIDAD ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito de
seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage Circuit
Interrupter), que apaga el aparato inmediatamente si
éste cayera al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente para
asegurarse que el sistema de detección de agua
funcione correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de prueba
(véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic y el
botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustarlo, desconecte el aparato, apriete el
botón de reajuste luego vuelva a conectar el aparato.
4. Si el cortacircuito de seguridad no funcionara
correctamente, regrese el aparato a un centro de
servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cayera al agua, es muy importante
que lo mande a un centro de servicio autorizado. No
intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de cada
uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el botón de reajuste
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera, desconecte el
aparato, permita que enfríe y conéctelo otra vez. El
aparato debería funcionar normalmente. Si no fuera el
caso, regréselo a un centro de servicio autorizado para
que lo revisen y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello con
champúes, acondicionadores y productos de acabado
de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los productos
deseados. Enjuáguelo bien y séquelo con una
toalla para eliminar el exceso de agua. Divida el
cabello en secciones. Seque el cabello usando
simultáneamente el secador y un cepillo. Coloque
el cepillo debajo de cada sección de cabello y dirija
el flujo de aire caliente hacia la parte superior
del cabello. Mueva el cepillo y el secador lenta y
simultáneamente hasta las puntas, dirigiendo el flujo
de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero cabelludo.
Su secador genera una nube de iones negativos que
ayudan a reducir la electricidad estática, el frizz y los
pelos sueltos, al mismo tiempo que agregan brillo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato sin
obstrucciones y libres de pelo.
3. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el flujo de
aire en una sección solamente.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados, rocíe
un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de secarlo.
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles y ondas,
seque el cabello casi por completo usando un ajuste
de temperatura bajo, luego fije el peinado usando
el disparo de aire frío. Esto reducirá aún más la
electricidad estática y agregará brillo, para un
acabado perfecto
CUERPO Y VOLUMEN
Para dar más volumen al
cabello, incline la cabeza
hacia delante durante
el secado. Dirija el flujo
de aire hacia las raíces
para obtener más cuerpo.

seco, péinese en la forma
deseada.
ALISADO
Para alisar el cabello,
estire cada sección con un
cepillo redondo grande de
aproximadamente 5 cm de
diámetro. Doble un poco las
puntas hacia abajo mientras
seca.
ONDULADO
Para crear ondas
despeinadas de apariencia
natural, coja el cabello a la
raíz y estrújelo entre sus
dedos mientras lo seca. Para
obtener ondas y bucles con
más cuerpo, utilice el difusor
de aire.
